Beginners I - In this gently graded and entertaining course for beginners, you will learn to read and play standard music literature with ease. You will be provided with your own keyboard and headphones in this course. A series of handbooks are sold in class for $7.50 each. Req: Notepad & pen. (10 hours)

Pop Piano: Hits of the 50's - 90's

What can the average adult beginner achieve on the piano in a weekend? You’d be amazed! Learn to comfortably & successfully play accompaniment to the major pop hits from the 50’s - 90’s. Handbooks are sold in class for $7.50. Requirements: Notepad & pen. (10 hours)

Guitar - Introduction

  Perfect for absolute beginners. Standard chord diagrams and sequences will be used to demonstrate the key skills. Various pieces and songs will be studied, an introduction to tablature will be given as well as examples of single-note melodies. No experience is required. Req: Acoustic guitar, notepad & pen. (9 hours)

Blues Guitar

Gain the underlying principles of blues playing. Learn to use the fret board, to develop technical facilities, left & right hand technique, finger style & picking, improvisation, soloing & the development of melodic ideas. A variety of blues styles are used. Req: Basic guitar skills, acoustic guitar, pad and pen. (9 hours)
