D.I.Y & Practical SkillsBasic Digital PhotographyThese courses are for complete beginners - whether you have a camera or looking to buy one. Camera specs will be explained, Photography discussions & exercises will include: Finding out what type of photos you can take with the camera you have or want, When to use a flash, Disciplining yourself to Note Taking, 2 Hours to take a variety of photos, Uploading photos to computer, Introduction to Editing photos in IrfanView, Picasa, Photoshop OR Photoscape. (15 hours) Make rings, bracelets and other jewellery items using copper, brass and silver. You will handcraft a sterling silver ring and also learn how to make a linked silver bracelet before working on your own project. Intermediate and Advanced students are welcome to enrol to learn further techniques and work on their own projects. Requirements: Notepad and pen, safety glasses, protective clothing and footwear, dust mask, money for silver.
