FREE Art Class Taster

Gain an introduction to the fun of painting & drawing with this FREE Art Class. This class will allow you to get a feel for painting and drawing in just one session. No experience necessary. Req: Materials provided – pay $5 to tutor on the day. Past participants are not eligible to enrol. Book early – places limited. (2.5 hours)

Daytime Drawing & Painting

Work in the medium of your choice: oils, pastels, watercolour, acrylic, charcoal or pencil. Experience a range of traditional and contemporary styles of art. Suitable for beginners through to those with previous experience. Ideal for those wishing to join a regular class. Req: available upon enrolment. (18 hours)

Drawing the Face Made Easy

This is the best way to learn how to draw the face. You will learn how to draw the eye, nose, mouth and ears with confidence. Then, working from your own photgraph, you will discover how easy it is to draw the face of a family member in pastel pencil. Beginners have drawn wonderful faces first time. This method has a 96% success rate! A very enjoyable class. Req: available upon enrolment. (18 hours)

Painting Like Cezanne

Cézanne is described as the father of modern art, having had a profound influence of 20th Century artists such as Picasso, Braque and Ledger. This workshop, suitable for beginners, explores some of Cézannes innovative concepts including multiple viewpoints, flat plane perspective, vertical & horizontals and non-representative colour. Life Drawing Workshops

Techniques of drawing are explained and demonstrated, using a model as the subject. Assists in the creation of strong personal images and in developing a sense of line and proportion in drawing. This course will help in the preparation of a folio. Req: available upon enrolment.

An Abstract in a Day

A wonderful class that shows you how to paint abstract and semi abstract art. Includes pure design concepts, dynamic composition, colour for mood and effect – getting ideas. Special textures and effects. You will create a variety of smaller abstracts and one large abstract. Req. Acrylic paint and brushes plus A3 sketching pad. A large art board (900mm x 900mm) is provided. (5.5 hours)
